Helping young people to build a better future

Services

We sincerely believe we can help our young people build a hopeful, realistic future.

Affinity Children’s Care is committed to providing excellent residential care and a safe, warm and caring environment for children and young people aged 8 – 18 who have experienced trauma leading to them needing extra support around their emotional development, social skills and more therapeutic led support to understand their behaviours. We will enable and empower the young people whom come into our care to express their cultural, ethnic, religious, sexual or social diversity; informing and promoting their rights as children and young people. We will safeguard all young people in our care to ensure they remain safe and are able to reach their goals and aspirations.

Therapeutic
Support

Our homes work within a Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) therapeutic framework, supported by attachment theory, raising our presence as care givers in the process.

A Warm
Welcome

From walking through our doors, young people are greeted by a warm, smiley, caring team, ready to help them through any confusion and turmoil.

Expert
Team

There is a vigorous assessment and safer recruitment process that new staff go through to become members of staff at Affinity Children’s Care.

Parental
Input

Parents and Carers are encouraged to be involved in the plans for their children and young people; this helps promote a holistic approach to all.

Care
Planning

We take the local authority plan and use this, along with the views and wishes of the young person, to create a comprehensive care plan that goes above and beyond expectations.

Tailored
Support

We bring a creative approach to behaviour management, every approach is personalised to the individual, no model is the same.

Key Working
Sessions

Taking place regularly with young people, these highly productive sessions assist and inform decisions they may make in the future.

Specialist
Training

New recruits with limited qualifications and experience go through an intensive training programme and robust probationary period.
