As the Responsible Individual for Affinity Children’s Care, I will work closely with the Manager and wider team to ensure the children and young people in our care are enabled to have their voice heard in all stages of their care, whilst being safeguarded from harm.
The staff team will create authentic and nurturing relationships with vulnerable children and young people to help them to achieve and progress in all aspects of their lives. Our ethos and values will ensure we give young people the same opportunities as everyone else, in a tailored way taking into account their individuality. Emphasis will be on:
Helping young people, their families and carers to address issues and to be solution focused can lead to residential care being a positive experience at an important stage of the young person’s life.
The home caters for children that also have complex issues and who are experiencing developmental difficulties and problematic early life experiences, including attachment disorder, emotional behaviours and moderate to low learning difficulties.
